The Stryker Mako robot is now in place at St John of God Hospital in Warrnambool, and is being used by Mr Sutherland to assist in knee and hip replacement surgeries. In joint replacement surgery, the robot does not replace the surgeon but rather provides a greater degree of precision in delivering the surgical plan, individually tailored to the patient's anatomy. We hope that this increased precision will give improved function and better long term outcomes. |

Office Hours - 8.30am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 9am-1pm Friday
Mr Sutherland also consults and operates at Western District Health Services (Hamilton Base Hospital) every 4 weeks.
Private Surgery is available at St John of God Hospital, Warrnambool, Public Surgery at South West Health care in Warrnambool and at Hamilton Base Hospital.
All consultations require a referral from your GP or other practitioner (this is a Medicare requirement), and all referrals are reviewed to allow prioritisation before an appointment is made.
